My healthy mid-life crisis Days 71-77

Day 71

Calories ate: 2223
Calories lost through exercise: 831
Net Calories: 1392
Exercise: Swimming – 60 lengths in roughly 45 minutes

Again, it was great to do plenty of exercise (I did a lot of walking as well), so that I could have plenty to eat!

Day 72

Calories ate: 2193
Calories lost through exercise: 634
Net Calories: 1558
Exercise: Gym – treadmill (25 min), Bike (10 min), round of weights

Again, felt like a good day. Still feeling very positive.

Day 73

Calories ate: 2063
Calories lost through exercise: 453
Net Calories: 1610
Exercise: Gym – Treadmill (30 min – 5K!), round of weights

It felt great to clock up another 5K. It feels like that isn’t too big a challenge now, so hopefully I can start pushing myself further.

Day 74

Calories ate: 2052
Calories lost through exercise: 439
Net Calories: 1614
Exercise: Gym – treadmill (20 min), Bike (10 min), round of weights

For some reason I was really tired today and the running was really tough going. It weird that there are good days and bad days, but that’s the way it is.

Day 75

Calories ate: 2022
Calories lost through exercise: 380
Net Calories: 1642
Exercise: Gym, treadmill (20 min), Bike (10 min), round of weights

Another tough day today. I was really, really tired and struggled to do my exercise. But I’m now three-quarters of the way through – the end is in sight!

Day 76

Calories ate: 2132
Calories lost through exercise: 500
Net Calories: 1632
Exercise: Gym – Treadmill (20 min), round of weights

Today was the hardest day so far. I really didn’t feel like I could run another moment.  I hate the fact there are days like that, it’s so strange.  Hoping tomorrow is better.

Day 77

Calories ate: 2075
Calories lost through exercise: 493
Net Calories: 1583
Exercise: Gym – Treadmill (35 min, about 5.5.K), round of weights

Today I was back on track, ran the furthest I’ve run yet, and felt really positive afterwards.

Week Summary

Weight: 14st 10lb
Weight lost this week: 1lb
Total weight lost: 1st 11lb

For some reason, this week has been really tough. By this stage I realise that there are good weeks and bad weeks. So I’m not going to let it get me down. Next week will probably also not start well (I’m going out for dinner with a friend and then going to a beer festival! So I suspect that will be a bad day! I’ve also got dinner with a friend on Sunday). On the plus side, I’m fitting in clothes I haven’t worn for years!!

Nearly there, wish me luck!
