My Healthy Midlife Crisis – Day 29-35

Day 29

Calories ate: 2057
Calories lost through exercise: 503
Net calories: 1554
Exercise:  Swimming – swam 50 lengths of the pool in roughly 40 minutes.

I enjoyed swimming today and feel on top of the plan at the moment

Day 30

Calories ate: 2119
Calories lost through exercise: 555
Net calories: 1564
Exercise: Gym – 15 min on treadmill, 10 min on bike, round of weights, 5 min on rowing machine, 5 min on stairmaster

It was daughters birthday party today, so it was very hard to stick to diet as I was surrounded by party food and birthday cake! Tried my best!

Day 31

Calories ate: 1991
Calories lost through exercise: 351
Net calories: 1640
Exercise:  Ran 2.01 miles at an average pace of 10min 44sec per mile

Today I had an early morning, then people came for dinner.  So dragging myself out for a late run was NOT fun.  But sore throat finally seems to be gone and exercise seem a little easier again.

Day 32

Calories ate: 1901
Calories lost through exercise: 424
Net Calories: 1477
Exercise: Gym – Treadmill (10min), Bike (10min), Stairmaster (10min), weight lifting (5min) Rowing (5min)

Another day when squeezing in the exercise was difficult. That is by far the hardest thing in this 100 days – making time for exercise.  Most days it is the last thing in the world I want to day, and also feels like it’s stopping me from doing things I need to do.  Still, in the long run it does need to be done!

Day 33

Calories ate: 2083
Calories lost through exercise: 496
Net calories: 1587
Exercise: Gym – treadmill (15min), bike (10min), Stairmaster (5 min), rowing (5 min) and round of weights.

Don’t seem to be loosing much weight this week. But I’m still going.

Day 34

Calories ate: 1955
Calories lost through exercise: 432
Net Calories: 1523
Exercise: Gym – Treadmill (10min), bike (10 min), Stairmaster (5min) and round of weights.

I don’t want to sound typically British. I do like the warm weather … but it made the exercise so much harder! So I was less productive than normal

Day 35

Well … here’s the thing … I’m having a holiday, my first proper holiday since I started my new job in September. The whole idea of the 100 days is that I develop something sustainable, that will help me stay fit and healthy in the long-term. So I’m allowed holidays.
During the holiday I have only one aim – don’t put weight back on!

Week summary

Weight: 15st 7lb
Weight lost this week: 1lb
Total weight lost: 1 stone

It has been harder this week, as I don’t seem to be losing the weight as quickly. But, I am proud I’ve kept going.

I’ll be back!
